Terms of Service

ASKSilverTech is a technology education and support service designed to help older adults feel confident using everyday technology. We provide self-paced courses, an AI assistant, community forums, and optional one-time support sessions.

By creating an account or using any part of our service, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our service.

You must be 18 years or older to create an account.

ASKSilverTech Base Membership ($9.99/month) includes:

• Full access to all self-paced tech courses and learning materials
• Ask SilverTech AI assistant — plain-English help, 24/7
• Community forum access
• Scam Watch resources and weekly safety alerts
• Printable guides and step-by-step checklists
• Confidence certificates when you complete courses
• Friendly human support via email

Optional one-time add-on services (booked separately, paid at booking):

• Personal Tech Help Session — one-on-one help with a specific tech issue
• Phone, Tablet, or Computer Setup — device setup and organization
• Scam & Account Safety Check — review of suspicious messages, passwords, and account settings

We reserve the right to update or modify features as the service evolves. We will always notify members of significant changes via email.

• Keep your login secure: You are responsible for keeping your password private. Do not share your account with others.
• Accurate information: Please provide accurate information when creating your account. You can update it anytime from your dashboard.
• Account activity: You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Notify us of problems: If you believe your account has been accessed by someone else, please contact us immediately at support@asksilvertech.com.

• The ASKSilverTech Base Membership costs $9.99 per month, billed in U.S. dollars (USD)
• A valid payment method is required to begin the 7-day free trial
• Eligible payment methods are displayed at checkout and may vary by customer eligibility, device, browser, location, and Stripe availability
• No membership fee is charged when the trial starts — you are charged $0 during the 7-day trial
• Unless you cancel before the displayed trial-end date and time, your selected payment method is automatically charged $9.99, and the Base Membership then renews monthly at $9.99 until canceled
• You may cancel through My Plan → Manage Billing, or by contacting Support@ASKSilverTech.com
• Canceling during the 7-day trial prevents the first $9.99 charge — no refund is issued because no trial charge occurred
• Canceling after billing begins stops future monthly renewals; you keep access until the end of your current paid billing period
• After a charge occurs, the approved refund policy applies (see the refund policy notice below)
• Your membership renews automatically each month until you cancel
• One-time add-on services are paid at the time of booking and are non-refundable once the session has been delivered
• Billing questions should be sent to Support@ASKSilverTech.com

Refund policy notice: A formal post-charge refund policy (for example, eligibility windows and how to request a refund) has not yet been approved and published. Until it is, please contact Support@ASKSilverTech.com for any refund request after a charge, and we will review it promptly and fairly.

We ask that you use ASKSilverTech respectfully. You agree not to:

• Post harmful, abusive, or misleading content in the community forum
• Attempt to access other members' accounts or private information
• Use our service for commercial purposes without our written permission
• Share login credentials with others
• Use automated tools to scrape or copy our course content

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines, at our discretion, with notice where possible.

All courses, articles, guides, and other materials on ASKSilverTech are owned by us or our content partners. You are welcome to use them for your own personal learning. You may not copy, sell, or redistribute our content without written permission.

We work hard to make sure all information is accurate and helpful, but technology changes quickly. We are not responsible for decisions you make based on our content. When in doubt, consult a qualified professional.

Your privacy matters to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for full details on how we collect, use, and protect your information. The short version: we never sell your data, ever.

ASKSilverTech provides educational content and support to help you learn technology more confidently. We are not liable for:

• Technical issues with your personal devices
• Losses resulting from following our advice
• Service interruptions or downtime
• Third-party websites or services we may link to

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of our service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will:

• Post the updated terms on this page
• Update the "Last Updated" date
• Send you an email notification

Continuing to use ASKSilverTech after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
